12-3-25   THOUGHTS

The rewards for good and evil are opposite by God’s design.  They are opposite because God is God!  Luke 6:38   "Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure — pressed down, shaken together, [and] running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."  Speaking of compassion, Jesus says..  Matt 9:13  "But go and learn what this means:”  I think the same applies to this discussion.  

Prov 11:24-31   There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, And there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want.  25  The generous man will be prosperous, And he who waters will himself be watered. 26  He who withholds grain, the people will curse him, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. 27  He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, But he who seeks evil, evil will come to him. 28  He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.  29  He who troubles his own house will inherit wind, And the foolish will be servant to the wisehearted.  30  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls. 31  If the righteous will be rewarded in the earth, How much more the wicked and the sinner!

Our Prayer:
Father God, may we learn Your giving love!  Help us to see that You bless both giving and loving, and that You desire such from Your children.  We thank You and praise You that these things are true.   O God, You have presented us with the key to our own blessing, for as we give and love, so You, the Righteous Judge, will return to us.  May we consider Jesus our Savior always, and follow s ways.  We pray in His name,   Amen.
